Delete your account
You can delete your account and everything in it from the app, or here in your browser — you do not need to install anything.
You will be asked to sign in first, so that only you can delete your account. Deletion takes effect after 30 days and you can cancel it at any point before then by signing in again. Pets you share with someone else stay with them; pets only you own are deleted with your account. What happens to each kind of record is set out below.
Cannot sign in? privacy@ourpackhealth.com — we will verify who you are another way and do it for you.

OurPack Health — Data Deletion Policy (Right to Delete)
Version: 1.0.5 Effective Date: August 9, 2026 Change (1.0.5): New §6.0 — deleting a child's household profile, and what stays on the animal's record. Caregiver wording updated to match the per-capability permissions the Service now uses. Operator: OurPack Health, Inc., a Nevada corporation ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") Service: OurPack Health (the "Service")
1. Your right to delete
You own your pet-health records and you can delete them. This policy explains how to request deletion, what gets deleted and what we must keep, how the 30-day grace period works, the timeline, and how deletion works for pets that are shared with other people.
This policy works alongside the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and supports the deletion rights described there.
2. How to request deletion
You can delete your data two ways:
- In the app (self-service).
- Delete specific items: remove individual records, notes, documents, images, or a pet profile you control, directly in the app.
- Delete your account: use Settings → Account → Delete Account to delete your entire account and the data you control.
- By email. Send a request to privacy@ourpackhealth.com from the email address on your account (or otherwise allow us to verify you). We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting, to protect your data.
You may also contact support@ourpackhealth.com for help with a deletion request.
3. What happens when you delete your account
- Immediate effect: your account is deactivated and your subscription stops renewing — you do not need to cancel separately. Stopping renewal is not a refund: see the Terms of Service, Section 7.6. Any unused account credit is forfeited when your service ends — Terms of Service, Section 7.7.
- 30-day grace period: your data is placed in a recoverable, deactivated state for 30 days. During this window you can contact us at privacy@ourpackhealth.com to restore your account, in case the deletion was a mistake or you change your mind.
- Purge after grace: after the 30-day grace period ends, we permanently delete or irreversibly de-identify the personal data we control for your account, except for the limited categories we are required or permitted to retain (Section 5).
- Backups: residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited additional period and are then overwritten on our normal backup-rotation cycle. Backups are access-controlled and are not used to reconstitute deleted accounts except for legitimate disaster-recovery. Backups are retained for approximately 14 days and are then overwritten.
4. What gets deleted
Subject to Section 5 and the multi-owner rules in Section 6, deletion removes the personal data we control that is associated with your account, including:
- your account and profile information;
- pet profiles and health records you solely control (symptoms, conditions, medications, visit/vaccination history, care plans, notes, documents, images);
- the questions and cases you created; and
- voice recordings and transcripts associated with your account, if any.
What this does not cover: things you recorded about a pet you do not own. Those belong to that pet's owners and stay with the pet's record, still showing that you were the one who recorded them. See Section 6.1.
5. What we retain, and why
We may retain limited information after deletion where the law requires or permits it, or where it is necessary for legitimate, narrowly-scoped purposes, including:
- Financial and transaction records for subscriptions (e.g., invoices, tax, and accounting records), including records held by our billing provider, retained for the periods required by law. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
- Security and audit logs needed to detect and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents, and to enforce our Terms.
- Legal-hold data required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or respond to lawful requests.
- De-identified or aggregated data that can no longer reasonably be linked to you.
Retained data is minimized, access-controlled, and deleted when the retention purpose ends.
6. Multi-owner pets and households
A pet can be shared with more than one person, each holding the individual permissions the owner granted them. Because a pet's record may belong to a household rather than to one person alone:
- Deleting your account removes your access and the data you solely control. It does not destroy a pet's record if that pet still has other active owners — the pet and its shared record remain available to them.
- Content others contributed to a shared pet may remain with that pet's record for the remaining owners, consistent with the roles you all agreed to.
- A pet with no remaining owners (i.e., you were the last owner) is deleted along with your account, following the same 30-day grace and purge process.
- If you want a shared pet's record fully deleted but other owners remain, those owners must also delete it (or transfer/relinquish ownership). Contact privacy@ourpackhealth.com if you need help understanding what will and will not be deleted in a shared situation.
6.0 Switching off, or deleting, a child's account
If you created an account for your child (Terms of Service, Section 4B), you can switch it off or delete it at any time from your own account, and you do not need to ask us.
Switching it off signs their device out immediately and tells them a grown-up in the household has turned the account off. Nothing is deleted, and switching it back on restores their access.
Deleting it removes the account itself, its permissions and its sign-in. Use this when the arrangement has ended for good; use switching off when it has not.
What your child recorded about an animal stays on that animal's record, with their display name attached, for exactly the reason set out in Section 6.1 below: a care record is a record of who did what, and a course of medication with a gap in it reads as a dose that was never given. This is the same rule that applies to every other person who helps with an animal — it is not a rule about children.
If you want that history gone as well, deleting the pet removes it, and deleting your account removes it along with everything else.
We hold nothing else about your child. No date of birth, no email address, no phone number, no password, and no advertising identifiers — see the Privacy Policy, Section 11.2. So there is nothing to delete beyond the profile and what it recorded.
6.1 If you contributed to a pet you do not own
If you help with someone else's pet, what you recorded about it belongs to that pet's owners, not to you (Terms of Service, Section 6.1). Deleting your account does not remove it.
Your name stays on what you recorded. This is the part people are most surprised by, so we would rather be blunt about it than have you find out later.
A care record is a record of who did what. "A dose was given at 6pm" is close to useless; "you gave a dose at 6pm" is a fact the owner, their veterinarian, and sometimes an insurer or a court may need years afterwards. If the walker who gave a dose on Tuesday could later strip their name from it — or erase it — the owner would be left holding a record that cannot answer the one question that matters when something goes wrong. That protects you as much as the owner: it is also the evidence that you did give the dose, on time, as asked.
So when you delete your account:
| What happens | |
|---|---|
| Your account and profile | Deleted |
| Your email address, phone number, and login | Deleted |
| Your access to other people's pets | Removed |
| Your own pets, if you are the only owner | Deleted |
| Entries you made on a pet you do not own | Kept with that pet's record |
| Your name on those entries | Kept, as part of that record |
We keep your name for that purpose and no other. It is not used to contact you, to market to you, or for anything else once your account is gone.
This is a limit on the right to delete, and we are stating it rather than burying it. US privacy laws let a business decline the parts of a deletion request it needs to refuse in order to complete a service someone asked for, to comply with a legal obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim. A care record naming who administered treatment is all three.
What you can still do. If you believe something you recorded is inaccurate, ask an owner of that pet to correct it, or write to privacy@ourpackhealth.com and we will help — accuracy and erasure are different things, and you keep the first one. If you think an entry should never have been recorded at all — because it was about you rather than the pet, say — tell us and we will look at it on its facts.
Only an owner can remove an entry from their pet's record. Not the person who made it, and not us except where the law requires.
7. What happens, and when
Deleting your account is not instant, and that is deliberate. The 30-day pause exists so a deletion you did not mean — or one made by someone who got into your account — can still be undone. Here is the whole sequence.
Step 1 — You ask us to delete · immediately
Your account is deactivated the moment we receive the request. You are signed out, nobody can reach your records, and your subscription stops renewing.
Stopping renewal is not the same as a refund. If you want money back as well, see the refund terms in the Terms of Service, Section 7.6. Any unused account credit is forfeited when your service ends.
Step 2 — We check it is really you · usually the same day
If you asked by email rather than from inside the app, we confirm you are the account holder before going further. This step protects you: without it, anyone who knew your email address could delete your pet's medical history.
Step 3 — The 30-day grace period · 30 days
Your data is held in a deactivated, recoverable state and is not visible to anyone.
You can change your mind. Email privacy@ourpackhealth.com at any point in these 30 days and we will restore the account exactly as it was. After that we cannot — once Step 4 runs, restoration is genuinely impossible, not merely inconvenient.
Step 4 — Permanent deletion · day 31
We permanently delete or irreversibly de-identify the personal data we control. This is the point of no return. The only things that survive are the narrow categories in Section 5 — payment records we are legally required to keep, and security logs.
Step 5 — Backups age out · about 14 more days
Encrypted backups taken before your deletion still contain your data for a short while, because a backup is a snapshot of an entire system and cannot be edited in place without destroying the integrity that makes it useful.
Those backups are access-controlled, are never used to bring a deleted account back, and are overwritten on the normal rotation — approximately 14 days. After that, nothing remains.
At a glance
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Request | Account deactivated; renewal stops | Immediately |
| 2. Verification | We confirm you are the account holder | Usually same day |
| 3. Grace period | Recoverable — you can still undo this | 30 days |
| 4. Purge | Permanently deleted or de-identified | Day 31 |
| 5. Backups | Encrypted copies overwritten on rotation | ~14 days after purge |
| Retained | Only what the law requires (Section 5) | Per statutory period |
In short: about 31 days from your request to permanent deletion, and roughly 45 days until the last backup copy is gone. We will always act within the timeframes applicable law requires, and sooner where we can.
8. Exporting before you delete
Before deleting, you can export your full pet-health record from within the Service so you keep your own copy. Deletion is irreversible after the grace period, so export first if you may want the data later.
